City of Wichita Falls to Auction Home and 18.5 Acres

 The City of Wichita Falls will be selling, at auction, a home and 18.5 acres of land, appraised at $111,195.00, on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:am at 4927 West Highway 258 (the location of the home and property). The minimum bid for the home and land is $70,000.00. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The successful bidder must tender a cashier's check for 10% of the bid by 1:pm Friday, November 4th and tender payment in full by cash, cashier's check or certified funds no later than 1:pm, Monday, November 14th, 2011, pending City Council approval.

Good Monday morning to you!

There's no doubt that after the weekend of texting, email updates, Twitter Feeds, and Facebook post on the S&P downgrade of the United States credit status, you probably have an uneasy feeling this morning. And of course the media will not help ease your uneasiness. Doom and glooms seems to sell better than having the TV anchors singing Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World."

And while I am not a financial planner or a master by any means of the Wall Street markets, I do work with people every day in what is typically their largest financial decision. The last 3 years have been very interesting, no doubt, but we have continued to serve our customers in the buying and selling of the American Dream.

Remember this feeling around 3 years ago. The world was coming to an end, right?

No. We made it. And not only did we make it, our market weathered this storm better than most of America. We never promise our clients appreciation in their Real Estate purchase. We do however promote (not promise) consistency. That seems to be our story in Wichita Falls and Texas. Now that we live in a day and age where volatility is the new norm, I’m glad to live in a market that is consistent.
