www.WichitaFallsShortSale.com - New Site Is Up

by Ashton Gustafson

Chances are, you or someone you know in Wichita Falls is facing the possibility of foreclosure. But you need to understand that you are not alone.

Today, 1 out of every 10 homeowners in America is behind on mortgage payments. These are tough and frustrating times. Now more than ever, it's important to identify your options. Foreclosure can be avoided, your credit can be saved, and your financial future can be salvaged.

Through my experience handling distressed properties at Bishop Realtor Group, I've found that homeowners today have more questions than answers about their circumstances. I have created this site to help you understand the possible solutions to foreclosure, as well as provide a detailed explanation of short sales, which may be the best course of action for some homeowners.

You may also have noticed that I'm offering you a FREE Report to explain your options and help you decide on a course of action. The idea of losing a home can be overwhelming, and I feel it is vital for you to have all the facts necessary to make an informed decision.

As an agent with the CDPE® Designation, I have a strong and unique appreciation of the factors affecting the market, and know that there are options available to you.

If you would like to know more about your options, please call me at (940) 224-0881.

I am here to help … in any way I can. See www.WichitaFallsShortSale.com for more information.

$8000 Tax Credit For Home Buyers

by Ashton Gustafson

As you all know, there is a huge spotlight right now on the Real Estate sector. The Senate's $15,000 homebuyer tax credit has been stripped from the final version. In it's place is an $8,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers. Note that this credit does not need to be paid back, unlike the original $7,500 first-time homebuyer tax credit. To qualify, the purchase has to be made between January 1 and August 31, 2009 and you have to stay in your home for three years. No word yet as to whether or not this will be a refundable credit.

I will keep you updated as this movement continues. If you know anyone looking to purchase their first home or if you have not purchased a home in the last 3 years, this tax credit, along with historically low interest rates makes this a rare, if not perfect, time to purchase a home.

Please contact me if you have any questions or see www.TexomaListings.com for Buyers and www.TexomaHomeValue.com for Sellers.

WFISD Earns State's Highest Award - Wichita Falls

by Ashton Gustaphson

Wichita Falls ISD Earns State's Highest Fiscal Accountability Rating for Sixth Year

Wichita Falls Independent School District officials announced that the district received a rating of "Superior Achievement" under Texas' Schools FIRST financial accountability rating system, the sixth year in a row at the highest rating. The Superior Achievement rating is the state's highest, demonstrating the quality of Wichita Falls ISD's financial management and reporting system.   This is the sixth year of Schools FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas), a financial accountability system for Texas school districts developed by the Texas Education Agency in response to Senate Bill 218 of the 77th Texas Legislature in 2001. The District has received a "Superior Achievement" every year. The primary goal of Schools FIRST is to achieve quality performance in the management of school districts' financial resources, a goal made more significant due to the complexity of accounting associated with Texas' school finance system. The system is designed to encourage Texas public schools to manage their financial resources better in order to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional purposes.
